Although Keystone was unable to do throw its usual big holiday party this year, we made sure that our employees gathered virtually to celebrate the holidays and all the previous year’s accomplishments. Let’s just say that the fact we were meeting virtually instead of in person did not detract at all from the fun. Major props are owed to Brittany Aldredge, the firm’s HR and marketing assistant, who planned the party and used her creativity to find ways for the team to bond and have lots of laughs without being face-to-face.
Before joining the virtual event, Keystone employees exercised their bartending skills by preparing their own cocktails from ingredients that had been delivered to them by a cocktail courier. The party then kicked off with everyone introducing themselves (due to the influx of new hires) and showing off their ugly holiday sweaters. Everyone almost unanimously voted for Joshua Ross whose Star Wars-themed sweater depicted Darth Vader fighting a dinosaur and was handmade by his wife. This was followed by Managing Partner Shawn Kerendian delivering an encouraging and optimistic toast to highlight the firm’s accomplishments and goals for the following year.
Keystone employees got to know each other better by playing a series of games, including guessing employees’ baby pictures and guessing fun facts about one another. The cheer-filled evening concluded with what might have been the most interesting event of the night: a virtual White Elephant Gift Exchange, which is a twist on traditional Secret Santa.
While we are crossing our fingers that Keystone’s next holiday celebration can be in person, this virtual celebration was the next best thing. Brittany did an amazing job, and we look forward to the events she has planned for 2021.
