From a holiday party at the Sofitel to a fun game night and competitive chili cookoff, Keystone has enjoyed celebrating and giving back to various charities.

Keystone Law Group Hosts Game Night for Fun and Team Building

Keystone hosted a fun and exciting game night in November, with teams competing in games such as Running Charades, Name That Tune, Pictionary, and Family Feud.

Everyone moved around to different teams throughout the night, which fostered camaraderie and friendly competition. The games were challenging and entertaining, and tested everyone’s knowledge, creativity, and teamwork skills.

Before the game night started, the attendees enjoyed drinks and a taco bar, which added to the festive atmosphere.

In addition to bragging rights:

  • First place winner and party host, Partner Roee Kaufman, received two tickets to Disneyland;
  • Second place winner, Law Clerk Kaitlin Street, received a Milk & Honey gift certificate; and
  • Third place winner, Associate Carolina Gonzalez-Rondan, received an Amazon gift card.

“The game night was a way to show appreciation and recognition for everyone’s hard work and dedication, and to promote a positive and fun culture,” said HR Coordinator, Brittany Aldridge.

Keystone Law Group believes fun, team-building activities are important for employee well-being and productivity, and plans to host more events like this in the future.

First Ever Chili Cookoff!

Keystone held its inaugural chili cookoff on Saturday, November 11th at Virginia Avenue Park in Santa Monica. It was a fun and delicious way for everyone to get together with their families and enjoy good company and good weather.

The chili cookoff featured five different flavors of chili, each made by a different team member at the firm. The flavors were:

  • College chili
  • Red lentil and smoked beef short rib chili
  • Ground beef chili with habanero peppers and spicy kidney beans
  • Chicken and white bean chili
  • Cajun chili

Attendees had the chance to taste and vote for their favorite chili while enjoying other snacks and drinks.

The winner of the chili cookoff was Joshua Ross, a paralegal at Keystone, who made the red lentil and smoked short rib chili. He received a Williams Sonoma gift card and a Chili Cookoff Trophy as his prize. He said, “A fantastic event put on by KLG where staff and their families got to enjoy 5 delicious chilis and a beautiful, sunny Los Angeles day in the park.”

The chili cookoff was one of the many events that Keystone Law Group hosts for its employees, as part of its commitment to creating a positive and fun work environment. The firm believes that bonding activities are important for the well-being and productivity of its employees, and plans to make this cookoff an annual tradition.

Celebrating Thanksgiving with a Potluck Feast

The Keystone team gathered for its annual Thanksgiving potluck on Thursday, November 16th. The Thanksgiving potluck is a beloved tradition at the firm, with team members sharing their gratitude and enjoying delicious food together in person.

The potluck featured a variety of Thanksgiving dishes, such as smoked brisket, ham, sweet potatoes, creamed corn, and more.

“The potluck was a meaningful way to celebrate the holiday as a team. This was my first potluck with Keystone and we had a great time,” said Marketing Coordinator Jennifer Soares.

Keystone Raises Over $12,000 to Support Lynne Cohen Foundation

Keystone participated in the annual Kickin’ Cancer! 5K on October 22nd in Brentwood, raising $12,392 for the Lynne Cohen Foundation. The Lynne Cohen Foundation is a nonprofit organization that combats ovarian and breast cancer through preventive care, education, and community.

Keystone has been a proud sponsor of this fundraiser for the last four years and this donation will help the Lynne Cohen Foundation expand its preventive care clinics and education programs for women at increased risk for ovarian and breast cancers.

“The walk was a fun and a meaningful way to raise awareness and funds for vital cause,” said HR Coordinator, Brittany Aldridge.

Keystone Team Supports Uplift with a Gift Holiday Giving Program

Keystone continued its annual tradition of participating in Uplift with a Gift through the Children’s Law Center of California. The special program pairs organizations with children and families in the foster care system who wouldn’t otherwise be receiving holiday gifts. This year, the firm sponsored 10 children and had the opportunity to spark joy and make their holidays special.

In addition to purchasing the gifts, firm employees got together for a wrapping party before delivering them to the families.

“It’s wonderful getting together to wrap presents because it’s for such a good cause,” said Billing Coordinator Elizabeth Hicks.

Team Celebrates with Annual Holiday Party

Keystone held its holiday party at the Esterel restaurant at the Sofitel in Beverly Hills on Saturday, December 9th. The party was attended by firm employees and their guests, who enjoyed dinner, drinks, and great company. The party also featured a white elephant gift exchange, where some friendly gift stealing took place.

The highlight of the night was the annual year-in-review speech by Managing Partner, Shawn Kerendian. He praised the firm’s growth and achievements, including being ranked among the Best Law Firms by Best Lawyers, career advancements within the firm, and the conferences Keystone sponsored this year.

“We are very proud of what we have accomplished this year, and we are grateful for the trust and support of our clients, colleagues, and community,” Shawn said. “We look forward to continuing our mission of providing premier probate services in 2024 as we celebrate our 10th anniversary.”
