Just as the placement of a keystone at the summit of an arch provides stability for the entire structure, our individual team members work collectively to make Keystone Law Group a premier resource for complex probate matters. We seek dedicated and hard-working individuals to join our growing team.
Shawn S. Kerendian founded Keystone Law Group in 2014 to fill a specific and somewhat ambitious niche—to create a boutique practice focused solely on probate litigation and administration, and provide services to this underserved market.
Because this area of law was largely overlooked, finding experienced probate litigators proved challenging. Thus, Shawn grew Keystone organically by hiring talented individuals with unique backgrounds and skill sets who were eager to learn the legal landscape that shapes the outcome of probate and trust disputes.
In the years since, Keystone has grown to become one of the largest firms in California focused exclusively on probate litigation and administration. Keystone attorneys are respected probate litigators and serve as thought leaders in the field. Attorneys stay up to date on laws related to trusts and estates, and are often asked to share our expertise at professional conferences, with media, and to law students.
Creating Keystone was not just a passion for Shawn, it was also a strategic move. Probate, trust and estate litigation is increasing as the population ages. This segment of society has more wealth and is passing down more assets than previous generations. New laws regarding trusts and estates are also triggering new areas of potential disputes. Despite the notorious difficulties in contesting a will or trust, Keystone does not shy away from complex probate matters.
Keystone’s singular focus on probate has allowed attorneys to achieve mastery in this growing field and provide clients with unmatched expertise. The Firm relies on professional staff to provide valuable support to both clients and attorneys.
In addition, Keystone actively participates in the city’s continued efforts to improve the environmental standards of Los Angeles and is proud to be a Certified Green Business in Los Angeles. This certification is awarded to businesses in the city that incorporate sustainable practices in both their operation and business model.
Mutual respect is the foundation of Keystone’s culture. Every member of our firm — from our receptionist to our managing partner — has a voice that will be heard. We believe that when every team member feels comfortable offering his or her ideas and opinions, true collaboration can happen. Collaboration is critical in order to share knowledge, accelerate innovation, break down silos, and facilitate connectivity. Our entire team works together to ensure that our clients have the best experience possible. Through our dedication to our team members and our culture, Keystone has earned a Great Place to Work® Certification™ and been named as a Best Place to Work SoCal.
We encourage our team members to get to know each other professionally as well as personally through team bonding opportunities and social gatherings such as:
Keystone also values the precious balance between personal life and career work through programs such as:
Keystone’s commitment to investing in the latest technology helps our firm run more efficiently, ultimately benefiting clients by providing top-of-the-line services at below-market rates. In fact, our firm functions more like a tech company at times than a traditional law firm.
For Keystone, inclusion, diversity, and equality are organic processes born out of a commitment to build a workforce of talented, caring, and dedicated individuals who are passionate about helping others. We embrace the talents, ideas, knowledge, and contributions that everyone brings to our team, and believe that the more diverse the backgrounds, experiences, ideas, and perspectives of our team members, the better we can serve our clients.
Keystone provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment. The firm also prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
