Keystone’s Founder and Managing Partner, Shawn S. Kerendian, and Senior Associate Roee Kaufman gave three presentations on California Probate and Trust Administration for the National Business Institute (NBI). The NBI provides continuing legal education (CLE) seminars and online courses to professionals, and has built one of the largest and most diverse catalogs of legal courses taught by experienced practitioners. Keystone’s probate attorneys are proud to lend their expertise in the complex area of probate law.
Topics included:
- California Probate Process and Overview
- Assets, Creditor Claims and Debt Considerations
- Distributions, Final Accounting, and Closing the Estate
Those who attended the presentations included attorneys looking for CLE credits, as well as professionals in related fields such as accountants and paralegals. The live presentations were also recorded and made available online through NBI.
Speaking engagements help boost recognition of the firm in legal and other professional circles. Being asked to speak in and of itself is also an acknowledgment of the firm’s expertise in our field.
“I personally also enjoy doing them because it helps to hone my presentation skills and also forces me to speak about complex topics in a clear, digestible way, which is an important skill to have when you frequently speak with non-lawyers, like clients,” Kaufman says.
