Keystone marked its first year attending and exhibiting at the Professional Fiduciary Association of California annual conference that was held at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, California in early May. Over 650 professionals were in attendance of the 4-day long event that included expert presentations, continuing education, networking receptions and Party in the Park at Disneyland to close out the conference.
Keystone’s very own Lindsey F. Munyer presented at the conference, discussing the challenges of elder financial abuse litigation, and provided an overview of what actions California’s Elder Abuse and Dependent Adult Civil Protection Act covers, with a particular focus on actions for financial abuse. The presentation discussed what constitutes elder financial abuse and how to litigate such actions to protect an elder or dependent adult who is suffering from such abuse, and in certain circumstances, how a conservatorship may be used to prevent the abuse.
Managing Partner Shawn S. Kerendian and Marketing Coordinator Jennifer Soares joined Lindsey at the firm’s booth where they were able to network with many professionals, and also raffled of a brand-new iPad Mini to attendees who stopped by our booth.
