Monica C. Yun has had quite the career trajectory since joining Keystone right out of law school in 2015. Starting off as an associate, she quickly became known for her ability to effortlessly master complex legal issues — a skill she regularly puts to use when assisting the firm with challenging probate litigation matters. It wasn’t long after that she started to serve as the primary handling attorney on many of the firm’s cases, which enabled her to spotlight her innate talents, and ultimately, got her promoted to senior associate in 2018. Now, just four years later, Monica is again being promoted, but this time to partner. Her promotion is beyond well-deserved, and her colleagues, friends and family couldn’t be prouder.
“We’ve been blown away by Monica’s rapid accession, ingenuity and skill,” says Shawn Kerendian, managing partner at the firm. “The decision to promote her was a no-brainer. We know she has what it takes to excel in her new role and help Keystone continue to succeed.”
While Monica certainly has impressed us, we are not the only ones who have recognized her exceptional work. Since 2018, Monica has been named multiple times as a “Rising Star” by top legal magazine Super Lawyers and as one of the “Top Women Attorneys of Southern California” by Los Angeles Magazine.
“I’m excited to be a partner at Keystone,” says Monica. “Having been here for nearly eight years, I’ve enjoyed watching the firm grow. It is a pleasure working with our amazing, dedicated team, and I look forward to this new chapter.”
Congratulations on your achievement, Monica! We look forward to seeing what the future has in store for you.
