Keystone proudly participated in the annual Kickin’ Cancer 5K Run, Walk, and Stroll on November 13th, raising $15,301 — far more than the initial $5,000 goal. The event, hosted by the Lynne Cohen Foundation, fights breast and ovarian cancers through education programs and comprehensive preventative care clinics for all women at risk for these cancers. The actual walk was in Brentwood and we had a great turnout with Keystone spouses, friends and kids all turning out in matching t-shirts to support this great cause.
Money raised at the Kickin’ Cancer event helps fund Lynne Cohen Preventive Care Clinics across the country. The highly specialized women’s care facilities combine research, screening, and clinical care for women at increased risk for breast and ovarian cancers. For more than 20 years, these clinics have provided thousands of women with free testing and comprehensive cross-disciplinary care, including access to some of the latest clinical trials, genetic testing, and psychosocial counseling.
As part of its fundraising efforts, Keystone pledged to match every dollar raised by Keystone Kickin’ Cancer team members. This helped land the team in the highest fundraising spot. We are proud to support such a worthy organization and cause, and would like to thank all of our friends, family members and colleagues who donated to this great cause.
