Whitney Houston’s ex Bobby Brown is at war against the Houstons after allegedly filing an application to gain custody over Whitney Houston’s only heir, Bobbi Kristina Brown, the International Business Times reported on May 8.
Bobbi Kristine’s grandmother, Cissy Houston, said the family plans to fight against Brown’s move, which she claims is an attempt to acquire her granddaughter’s money. Bobbi Kristine was named the sole inheritor of Whitney Houston’s estate, worth $20 million. An estate planning lawyer said granting guardianship to Brown would not alter Whitney Houston’s will, however, which states that Bobbi Kristine’s grandmother, aunt and uncle would inherit the fortune in the event of her death.
In January 31, Bobbi Kristine was hospitalized after being found unconscious in a bathtub at her residence in Georgia.
