Keystone Law Group, P.C. Lawyers Presenting at a National Business Institute (NBI) Seminar

Shawn Kerendian, founder and principal of Keystone Law Group, and Of CounselVerlan Kwan will be part of the Probate Boot Camp at the National Business Institute. They will be speaking on the topics of Probate Litigation and Closing the Estate.

This two-day seminar is designed for professionals who would like to be more effective in handling the probate process, including attorneys, paralegals, CPAs & accountants, certified financial planners, enrolled agents, trust officers and tax preparers. The seminar starts today, Thursday, June 15, 2017 and continues on Friday, June 16, 2017 at the Courtyard Marriott in Culver City from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Shawn and Verlan will be presenting on Friday.

Below is a little background on our speakers:

Shawn Kerendian

Shawn is a Certified Specialist in the field of Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law by the State Bar of California, Board of Legal Specialization. He is the founder and principal of Keystone Law Group, where he oversees seven probate attorneys in the administration and litigation of probate, trusts, and estates. Shawn founded Keystone Law Group to offer clients focused, specialized, and efficient legal services in this area of the law in the greater Los Angeles region.

Shawn has handled all stages of litigation spanning discovery, mediation, law and motion and trials where the value of the trust or estate has ranged from a few hundred thousand to more than $50 million.

Shawn is an alumnus of UCLA for undergraduate studies and has a law degree from Los Angeles’ Loyola Law School.

Verlan Y. Kwan

Verlan Kwan is Of Counsel with Keystone Law Group, P.C. specializing in trust and estates administration. She has represented trustees, executors, administrators, creditors, heirs and beneficiaries in complex disputes involving trusts and estates with assets ranging from several hundred thousands of dollars to tens of millions of dollars.Verlan is the head of Keystone’s Probate and Trust Administration department. With her broad knowledge and compassionate approach to matters, Verlan has successfully represented countless clients’ to their satisfactions.

On the Dean’s List, Verlan received her Bachelor of Art in Political Science with a concentration in American Law and a minor in Cognitive Psychology from the University of California, Irvine. She received her law degree from California Western School of Law. She is a member of the Trusts & Estates Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and is also a member of the Trusts & Estates and Litigation Sections of the State Bar of California.
