Conservatorship over Casey Kasem’s health given to daughter

Search

The decision over who will look after Casey Kasem’s health care has been reached, a report by the Reuters revealed on June 6.

Kerri Kasem, Casey Kasem’s daughter with his first wife, has been granted conservatorship over her ailing dad. The 82-year-old radio DJ and voice actor behind Scooby Doo’s Shaggy has been suffering from Lewy body disease, a form of dementia characterized by a decline in mental abilities, hallucinations and symptoms that resemble Parkinson’s disease. The report added that he also has an infected bed sore.

Despite a legal discord between the radio personality’s second wife, Jean Kasem, and his children from his first marriage, Kerri hopes that her father can see them all together before he passes.

Conservatorship is more than just a legal concept; it is a sensitive family issue that may stir deep feelings among the loved ones involved. If you are planning to establish conservatorship or are trying to challenge an existing one in Los Angeles, an experienced lawyer from the www.Keystone-Law.com, can help you achieve your desired outcome.
