Biography

Edward J. Babakhani is a Senior Associate with Keystone Law Group, P.C. who practices primarily in trust, estate, and conservatorship litigation matters. Prior to joining Keystone, Edward practiced at two probate law firms in Los Angeles for four years where he managed a team of attorneys who represented beneficiaries, trustees, executors, creditor’s, and conservators in all aspects of probate, trust, estate, and conservatorship litigation.

Edward has extensive experience litigating heavily contested probate matters, including conservatorship matters. Edward is passionate about representing individuals who are vulnerable to wrongdoing. Edward helps his clients resolve contested litigation through creative thinking and the implementation of strategies to accomplish a client’s goals.

Edward received his undergraduate degree in History from the University of California, Irvine and his law degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles.

Representative Matters
  • Represented trustees and professional fiduciaries in trust litigation and administration matters including preparing and defending accountings, petitions for instructions, petitions for recovery of property, defense of removal of trustee petitions, trust contests, and general administration without court supervision.
  • Represented beneficiaries for trusts and estates for removal of trustees, recovery of property, to compel distributions, to compel sales, and to surcharge against trustees.
  • Acted as sole trial attorney for beneficiaries of a trust seeking to invalidate a trust amendment and transfer of real property.
  • Successfully negotiated settlements pre-litigation, pending litigation, at private mediation, and on the eve of trial in favor of clients.
  • Represented Conservators in preparing and defending accountings, petitions for substituted judgment, and petitions for recovery of property.
